Okay, so Laurie, crpdude, Techno and have theirs, and Athon is soon to have his in. That is everyone who has expressed interest thus far, right?
I am still for holding out the date on finalizing things until Wednesday, however. This gives everyone ample time to revise their stuff, and gives some time if another individual happens along and decides to throw their hat in the ring.

Yeah, I'd prefer to limit the number of applicants myself. We already have twice the number we originally thought we were going to be dealing with. The fewer the choices, the easier the decision is likely to be.

So. Any news on if Athon's got his stuff together? I'm willing to wait a few hours (around possibly noon my time, so that's 4 hours from the time of me writing this), but we'll have to count him out if he can't make the deadline.

Well, the downside is (if he doesn't hurry his keester up) he probably won't be joining us.
The upside to that, though, is it makes it a little easier for us to pick...

On a different note, may I suggest that we put a moratorium on campaigning? I really think we should avoid arguing over who is "better" and just vote totally anonymously, especially since these are people we're voting about, not concepts or ideas.

Setting up a poll would probably be best. Debating would get difficult.

We're only voting for one troll, so I voting for multiple people isn't a thing that should happen.

As far as multiple votes go, I'm thinking we should just stick to one per person for simplicity's sake and for the same reason as Volks. Also there's the fact that the only way to allow for more than one vote is to either run the poll multiple times or to let people vote for as many as they want, at least as far as I know.

Okay, we have a poll up because this is the official "Getting Our Act Together" thread. I have vote cancelling up, because people do change their minds. This does NOT mean you get to keep changing your vote on a whim. Everyone gets one vote. In the case of a tie breaker, I'll put up a new poll. PLEASE DO read through everyone's troll bios carefully - don't vote based on the person, vote based on their character, because your character will be role playing with them. Remember that these characters will be developed as we work together as a group.

Kidding aside, though, excellent idea putting the char names in there and leaving out the applicants'.

I like this. Just voting based on informed merit alone, without some bullshit campaigning and possible bashing of candidates other than the one you like. Governments of the world, you could learn a thing or two from us.
